Het is haast niet te geloven dat ik in tijden van een lockdown nog steeds moet zoeken naar me-time. Het land lijkt wel in 2 uiterste verdeeld met aan 1 kant de mensen die technisch werkloos zijn en al maanden thuis aan de muren op lopen terwijl ze zo graag willen gaan werken, en aan de andere kant heb je de mensen zoals mij die nog steeds full time werken en amper last ondervinden van de 'lockdown'. Uiteraard ben ik er heel blij mee dat ik al die tijd ben blijven werken maar ik ga ook niet ontkennen dat mijn weekje verlof over enkele weken niet iets is waar ik naar uitkijk ;-) 

Back to the outfit!

It's hard to believe that in times of lockdown I'm still craving for me-time . The country seems to be divided in 2 opposites with on one side the people who are unemployed and who are so eager to work, and on the other hand you have the people like me who are still full time working and barely experiencing the 'lockdown'. Of course I am very happy that I have been working all this time, but I am not going to deny that my upcoming holiday in a few weeks is not something I am looking forward to, even if I have to stay at home all the time ;-)

But now, back to the outfit!

Ik had het zelf nooit kunnen denken. Als grote Dr. Martens fan ben ik nooit een liefhebber geweest van hun sandalen! En kijk wie hier nu staat met Dr Martens sandalen?! Ik weet niet precies wanneer deze mind switch gebeurd is maar toen ik onlangs hun sandalen weer voorbij zag komen had ik er opeens een andere kijk op. Ik zag niet langer dat lompe schoeisel maar een super gave sandaal die me meteen outfit inspiratie gaf en bovenstaande outfit is daar al een van! Lekker edgy and relaxed.

I never could have imagined it myself. As a huge Dr. Martens fan I've never been a fan of their sandals. And look who is standing here now in Dr Martens sandals?! I'm not exactly sure when this mind switch happened but when I recently saw their sandals come by, I suddenly had a different view. I no longer saw that clumsy footwear but a super cool sandal that immediately gave me outfit inspiration and the above outfit is already one of them! Nice, edgy and relaxed.

Ik heb even getwijfeld tussen zwart en wit maar omdat ik al zoveel zwarte sandalen heb ben ik voor het witte Blaire model gegaan. Ik ben nog steeds blij met mijn keuze maar stiekem wil ik ze nu ook nog in het zwart omdat ze overdreven goed zitten! Ik dacht altijd dat deze 'platform' sandalen een super zware zool hebben maar dat blijkt dus helemaal niet zo te zijn. Ik weet niet van welk materiaal de zool gemaakt is maar ik ga het omschrijven als een soort van foam. Super licht en heel zacht om op te lopen!

I hesitated between black and white but because I already have so many black sandals, I went for the white Blaire model. I am still happy with my choice but secretly I also want them in black now because they are comfy! I always thought that these 'platform' sandals would have a heavy sole, but that turns out not to be the case at all. I don't know what material the sole is made of, but I'm going to describe it as some kind of foam. Super light and very soft to walk on!
